Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra Inaugurated at PMAS-AAUR's Sub-Campus Attock

The newly constructed Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra was formally inaugurated at the Sub-Campus Attock of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) in a dignified ceremony marked by spiritual reverence and institutional pride.


The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the mosque. The ceremony was attended by deans, directors, faculty members, administrative officials and a large number of students.


Speaking at the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the importance of providing holistic facilities within educational institutions, highlighting that places of worship play a vital role in nurturing moral values, spiritual well-being, and character building among students. He stated that the establishment of Masjid Fatima Al- Zahra reflects the university’s commitment to fostering both academic excellence and ethical development.


During his visit, the Vice Chancellor conducted a comprehensive review of the Sub-Campus Attock, inspecting available facilities and ongoing development projects. He expressed satisfaction over the progress made and directed the administration to ensure the provision of all necessary facilities to facilitate a conducive learning environment for students.


He further stressed the importance of continuous improvement, innovation, and effective resource utilization to meet the growing educational needs of the region.


Director Attock Campus, Dr. Rifat Hayat, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, faculty and staff who contributed to the completion of the mosque project. He highlighted plans for further academic expansion, enhancement of research facilities, and improved student services. He reaffirmed his commitment to making the Attock Sub- Campus a center of excellence that aligns with the broader mission of PMAS-AAUR.
