Vice Chancellor presented 2.5 million Rupees cheque to Provincial Law and Education Minister for Chief Minister Punjab Relief Fund for IDPs.



Punjab Provincial Minister for Law & Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Punjab Government will provide all out support to the Internally Displaced Peoples and stressed upon philanthropists to donate whole-heatedly as every penny of their donation will be provided to the affectees.

He stated this while addressing as a chief guest at Charity Drama Show for IDPs of Waziristan organized by PMAS-AAUR on July 18, 2014.

He further stated that the sacrifices of the IDPs had paved the way for the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb. He further said, “It is responsibility of every Pakistani to help IDPs of North Waziristan who left their homes for making the future of our children safe” and every member of the society should play his role in this noble cause.

Provincial Minister said the cooperation with IDPs would continue till the rehabilitation of their last affected family after elimination of terrorism and restoration of law and order in the area. He said the federal government is also utilizing all possible resources for the relief of the affected people.

Earlier, PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, in his welcome address informed the gathering that that collaborative efforts would be greatly helpful in order to address the problems being faced by IDPs. He stressed for the immediate attention of all sections of the civil society (particularly academia) towards solving the problems of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the North Waziristan Agency (NWA).

PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad also presented 2.5 million Rupees cheque to Provincial Law and Education Minister for Chief Minister Punjab Relief Fund for IDPs.
