65th Syndicate Meeting Held



Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) syndicate Thursday approved University revised budget amounting to Rs. 818.112 million of the fiscal year 2012-2013.

 

The budget was approved at the 65th  meeting of the university syndicate held under the chairmanship of PMAS- AAUR Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad. The budget presented by treasurer, Syeda Irum Umer, was unanimously approved by the syndicate after having detailed deliberations.

 

In the meeting establsihment of New Faculty of Agricultural Engineering was also approved, With an aim to promote technological changes and their management for sustainable agriculture development  through high level education, by integrating technology, planning and management. The focus of faculty would be dissemination of technology with special emphasis on interdisciplinary interface among the education, research and outreach activities.

 

Senior representatives of the finance, agriculture and livestock departments of the Punjab along with elected members of the syndicate, from the faculty also attended the meeting.

 

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, briefed the members of the syndicate about the research and development activities presently going on at the university. He also informed the gathering that University is trying to enhance the outreach activities for educating the farmers in order to increase agricultural productivity of the country.

 

 The members appreciated the University administration for research & academic activities and development projects carrying on campus. At the end, Vice-Chancellor thanked all the members for their participation & valuable contribution made by them in the meeting.
