Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) organized Policy Dialogue on the role of Higher Education Institutions on National Narrative Building of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on August 2022.

The Policy Dialogue was organized by PMAS-AAUR Directorate of Students Affairs in collaboration with Paigham-e-Pakistan Centre for Peace, Reconciliation and Reconstruction Studies, Islamic Research Institute, (IRI) International Islamic University, Islamabad.

PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman was the chief guest while Dr Muhammad Hammad Lakhvi Dean, Faculty of Islamic Studies at University of the Punjab, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan from University of Haripur, Dr. Zia ul Haq Director General IRI, Prof. Dr. Khalid Saifullah Director ORIC and Dr. Ghulam Hussain Babar Director Students Affairs of PMAS-AAUR also addressed on the occasion.

A large number of academicians, intellectuals, faculty members, civil society activists and students participated in the event.

Speakers stressed the need to empower the youth for the promotion of peace and tolerance in the society and demanded active involvement of youth for strengthening national integrity, peace and stability.

They also highlighted the role of higher education Institutions and National Narrative of Pakistan & their role not only in Pakistan development as well as ensuring peace and stability in the society.
