Independence Day celebrated (August 14, 2024) at PirMehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) by organizing a mega-plantation Drive, cake-cutting and Flag hoisting ceremony at its campus.

PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammad Naeem, Registrar Mr. Aqeel Sultan, other administrative officers, heads of various faculties and departments, employees and children participated in the event.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem hoisted the national flag followed by the national anthem.

To celebrate Independence Day a cake cutting ceremony was also held and a special prayer was also offered for the prosperity & solidarity of the country especially for Kashmir.

On this occasion, faculty members along with the Vice chancellor and students also planted a sapling and inaugurated the tree plantation campaign.

Vice Chancellor including faculty members and staff also distributed free of cost plants among the citizens of twin cities at the Murree Road.
