PMAS-AAUR Signs MoUs with Four Leading Bangladeshi Universities to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has signed four different Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with leading universities of Bangladesh i.e., University of Asia Pacific, Daffodil International University, International Islamic University Chittagong and North South University. The signing ceremony was held at COMSTECH secretariat, Islamabad under the patronage and support extended by OIC- COMSTECH, being a member of the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence (CCOE).


The MoUs aim to promote academic cooperation and foster international partnerships across higher education institutions. These MoUs establish a framework for collaboration in a wide range of areas, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, shared educational and scientific programs, and mobility opportunities for faculty members and researchers.


Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR, Prof. Dr. Qamrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor University of Asia Pacific, Prof. Dr. MD. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor Daffodil International University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Azadi, Vice Chancellor International Islamic University Chittagong and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor North South University signed MoUs on behalf of their respective Organizations while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH witnessed the occasion who played a pivotal role for this collaboration.


Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the importance of international academic linkages in advancing higher education. He said that this collaboration marks a significant step in promoting academic excellence and fostering cross- border educational exchange. “We believe such partnerships are key to addressing shared challenges and enhancing global academic standards,” he added.


The Vice Chancellors from the Bangladeshi universities expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the mutual benefits it will bring to students, faculty, and research communities in both countries. They reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with PMAS-AAUR to implement the MoUs and ensure tangible outcomes.


These new partnerships underscore PMAS-AAUR’s commitment to internationalization and its ongoing efforts to build strong global academic networks aimed at enriching research, teaching, and innovation.
