Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), one of Pakistan’s leading higher education institutions, has announced the launch of 12 new undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. The initiative aligns with the university’s mission to provide modern, industry-relevant education and foster academic excellence in emerging fields. With over 14,000 students enrolled across 5 faculties and 7 institutes, PMAS-AAUR continues to expand its academic offerings to keep pace with global advancements and market trends. PMAS-AAUR also operates sub-campuses in Attock and Khushab and maintains a dedicated university research farm on Mandra-Chakwal Road, reinforcing its leadership in agricultural research and innovation.
The newly introduced programs are BS English Language & Literature, BS Data Analytics, BS Statistics (Data Science), BS Genetics, BS Fintech, Bachelor of Eastern Medicine System (BEMS), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Information), B.Sc (Hons) Food Safety & Quality Management, BS Aesthetics & Cosmetology, BS Psychology (Clinical Psychology), BS Fine Arts and PhD Anthropology.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education in line with international standards. He said that Quality education and research in a modern style is our top priority. We aim to provide an enabling environment where students can excel academically and professionally. To support this vision, the university has equipped all faculties and institutes with state-of-the-art laboratories, computer labs, and libraries. University also have a central library with an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources. All classrooms and labs have been upgraded to meet Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards, enhancing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
