The University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT), PMAS-AAUR hosted its annual Open House & Job Fair 2025, bringing together academia, industry, and aspiring graduates under one roof. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor of PMAS-AAUR, who toured the student project exhibition and interacted with participants. Mr. Muhammad Aqeel Sultan, Registrar PMAS-AAUR, along with deans, directors, faculty members, industry representatives, and a large number of students were also present.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the importance of academia-industry collaboration, noting its role in driving innovation, nurturing new technologies, and boosting national competitiveness. He said that strong partnerships between universities and industries not only benefit educational institutions and businesses but also contribute significantly to the economic and technological development of the country.

This year’s fair featured participation from over 60 companies representing the tech and related sectors. Representatives from these organizations evaluated student projects, conducted on-spot interviews, and offered both job placements and internships. As a result, 45 graduates received job offers, while over 80 secured internship opportunities. The Open House showcased innovative projects in the fields of Computer Science and Software Engineering, reflecting the technical capabilities and creativity of UIIT students.
