The World Egg Day Celebrations were held under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR). Many dignitaries from the Poultry Industry and more than 400 students from different colleges and PMAS-AAUR were participated in the event. The program included various competitions, awareness Walk and a special seminar. The event was jointly organized by Institute of Animal Sciences, PMAS-AAUR, SB Eggs and WPSA Pakistan.

Guest of Honour Mian Sohaib Javaid, President of WPSA Pakistan, and CEO of Jadeed Group, addressed the participants and elaborated on the importance of eggs in daily life and the crucial role they play in ensuring food and nutritional security. He emphasized that eggs are among the most affordable and balanced sources of protein and essential vitamins for people of all age groups.

Mian M. Aslam, CEO of Arslan Poultry, was the Chief Guest of the event. He highlighted the vital role of eggs in the health and nourishment of children, women, and youth, emphasizing that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. He also appreciated the efforts of the university and organizers for promoting public awareness about the nutritional importance of eggs and their contribution to combating malnutrition in Pakistan.

Dr. Nasir Mukhtar thanked all the participants and distinguished guests for their active involvement and support. He highlighted that World Egg Day was organized and showcased in a beautiful and impressive manner, reflecting the dedication and teamwork of the faculty, students, and industry partners.
