PMAS-AAUR Launches International Seminar Series to Foster Global Research Collaboration

PMAS-AAUR has achieved a significant milestone by launching its first-ever International Seminar Series with an inaugural session held in hybrid mode. The initiative marks PMAS- AAUR as the first university in Pakistan to introduce a structured international seminar platform dedicated to advancing global academic collaboration and research excellence. The inaugural session was formally inaugurated by the Worthy Vice Chancellor of PMAS-AAUR Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, who commended the effort as a landmark step toward building strong academic linkages with the global research community.


This International Seminar Series is a result of strong academic collaboration between PMAS-AAUR and leading Canadian universities. The session featured two eminent scholars from Canada. Dr. Mathieu Bilodeau from Dalhousie University and Mr. Muhammad Saadullah Khan from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). The initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Coordinators/Team Leads Prof. Dr. Aitazaz A. Farooque (UPEI, Canada) and Dr. Travis Esau (Dalhousie University, Canada) whose professional commitment played a pivotal role in establishing this meaningful academic partnership.


This International Seminar Series is a result of strong academic collaboration between PMAS-AAUR and leading Canadian universities, including Dalhousie University, University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Memorial University of Newfoundland, and the University of Guelph. The initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Coordinators/Team Leads Prof. Dr. Aitazaz A. Farooque (UPEI, Canada) and Dr. Travis Esau (Dalhousie University, Canada) whose professional commitment played a pivotal role in establishing this meaningful academic partnership. Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman extended his heartfelt appreciation to the collaborating Canadian universities, coordinators, and distinguished speakers for their valuable contributions. He noted that the International Seminar Series reflects PMAS- AAUR’s vision to bridge Pakistani academia with international research networks, enabling faculty, researchers, and students to engage with cutting-edge global scholarship.


The Vice Chancellor also lauded the active participation of Deans, Directors, faculty members, researchers, supervisors, co-supervisors, and postgraduate students, describing it as a testament to the university’s growing research culture and dedication to academic excellence. He congratulated the Directorate of Advanced Studies for successfully organizing this landmark initiative and reaffirmed PMAS-AAUR’s continued commitment to strengthening international academic partnerships in the years ahead.
