The oath-taking ceremony of the first Elected Officers Welfare Association (OWA) of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) was held on November 7, 2012 at Seminar Room of the University.

PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azim Malik was the chief guest on the occasion.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Azeem Malik congratulated new office-bearers of OWA and said management should work together for development and expansion of the university. He assured the Officers that all their genuine demands would be addressed at the earliest. He urged the officers to remain positive and productive in all their efforts and always think for the collective cause of the community. He urged the new office-bearers of OWA to fulfill their responsibilities with commitment to serve the national cause as well as playing their role in the university’s image-building.

While sharing his vision for the future, Mr. Shahid Ali Khan, President of OWA, reiterated that this platform would provide a great opportunity for the Officers for tabling their reasonable ideas committed to the welfare of the community. We are optimistic that with a positive approach and collective efforts we would help each other in meeting their genuine demands.

The newly elected office bearers who took oath included Mr. Shahis Ali Khan (President), Mr. Nadeem Ahmad Malik (Senior Vice President), Ms. Sumera Saleem and Mr. Muhammad Irfan Ghazali (Vice Presidents), Raja Afzaal Mehdi (General Secretary), Mr. Muhammad Aqeel Sultan (Joint Secretary), Mr. Muhammad Adnan Riaz (Information Secretary) and Mr. Safdar Hussain (Finance Secretary). The Executive Council consisted of Mr. Muhammad Sohail, Mr. Shahbaz Ahmad Khan, Mr. M. Safdar Abbas Nasir, Mr. Zeeshan Ahmad Khan, Mr. Muhammad Asad, Mr. Muhammad Nazir and Mr. Shafqaat Ahmad.
